Octopus Events capitalises on Sarah Hopgood’s 17 years of experience in high-level event management roles.

Having lived and worked in London and Barbados, organising international corporate events for blue chip companies in sectors including Professional services, Private Equity, Insurance, Recruitment and Legal, Sarah settled in Oxfordshire, putting her talents, experience and enthusiasm to use for more local corporate and private clients. With both agency and in house experience, past events organised include Awards, Parties, Teambuilding, All staff conferences, Sales incentives, Senior Leadership Strategy Sessions, Away Days and Celebrations for both corporate and private clients with guests including VIPs, Royalty and Dignitaries.

Today, Octopus Events works with a team of trusted suppliers to deliver luxury events and stylish parties for discerning clients and organisations.

Sarah’s passion for what she does is evident in her work. Her artistic flair and imagination knows no bounds and clients love her inspirational themes and ideas. Her meticulous attention to detail ensures each event runs seamlessly and smoothly. Her professionalism and commercial astuteness guarantees each event exceeds expectations, but never the budget. Coupled with her experience, love of a challenge and ability to thrive on very little sleep, Sarah makes it all appear effortless!

Her enthusiasm for what she does, combined with her interest in social enterprise and corporate social responsibility, sees Octopus Events devote time each year to the organisation of fundraising events for local charities and community groups. These have recently included a summer opera, a trustees’ garden party, as well as an annual community village fete for 5000 visitors.

Where possible and applicable, Octopus Events’ preference is to use local suppliers.
